With an 18-hole golf course as its centerpiece, River Club is an established community of 946 single-family homes located a few miles east of I-75 in Bradenton, Florida which is part of Manatee County. With immediate proximity to Lakewood Ranch and easy access to Sarasota and Tampa, River Club homeowners are close to a variety of public and private amenities or activities including sports, shopping, arts, dining and Gulf Coast beaches. The River Club Golf Course, which is privately owned and operated, is open to the public.
The River Club community, spread over 950 acres, was built between 1989 and 2006 by a private developer and is governed by the River Club Homeowners’ Association, which has a seven member Board of Directors. Control of the Association was transferred from the developer to the homeowners in 2005. The Board of Directors meets at 5pm on the first Tuesday of each month.
River Club is named for the Braden River, which flows through the heart of the community creating a unique environment with exceptional natural beauty that includes open space, diverse wildlife and vegetation as well as wetlands and over 70 ponds that comprise 156 acres. As a result, many homes enjoy beautiful golf course, water or preserve views. Home styles range from maintenance-free villas to larger single family homes.
The Manatee County Board of Commissioners is the legislative body of the municipal government of the County and River Club is in District 5. Located immediately north of the community are Braden River Elementary School and Braden River Middle School, which are part of the School District of Manatee County. River Club is located in the East Mantee Fire District and District 3 of the Manatee County Sheriff’s Office, which has a nearby substation at 14544 Arbor Green Trail.
The community is professionally managed by Castle Group.
